REGISTRY  LIST  OF  CHILDREN Between the ages of Six and Twenty-one Years Connoquenessing Township Butler County, PA. 1898

     The following index contains the names of the children meeting the above parameter, living in Southern & Northern  Connoquenessing Township at the time this enumeration was done in 1898.  Each entry covers a line on the left and right pages in the ledger.   Included is the Child's Name, Date of Birth, Age, Sex, School Attended, Name of Parent or Guardian, Post Office, and in a few cases, the name of the employer of children under 16 years of age or if the child was a cripple.   In some cases, the children are noted as orphans in place of their guardian's name.  These children were born between 1877 and 1892 in a time period when the County & State did not record births. A copy of the cover of this book will be included with each order for documentary purposes.

     The entries for South Connoquenessing include the full date of birth.  The entries for North Connoquenessing include the month and day of birth, but the front page of the North Connoquenessing book includes the date of the record, so the birth year is easily figured.

     Copies of these rare records are only available by sending the order form to the Butler County Historical Society.   Each copy you order will include the full left and right pages for the page number you order.
